Welcome to the world of Leaf Lines—where nature, stillness, and human connection meet.

Our story began in1993 when Booker Morey began making eco-friendly, handcrafted 3D botanical art that honors nature. Today Senada Salihbasic carries on that legacy at Leaf Lines.

Leaf Lines is an exploration of stillness, intention, and the subtle power of the natural world. Rooted in close observation, my work reveals leaves as architectural forms—shaped by time, resilience, and delicate precision. Using 100% natural, hand-selected leaves, each composition is transformed into a sculptural, three-dimensional work. Through minimal, intentional framing, every piece becomes a meditative focal point—inviting pause, presence, reflection and most importantly human connection.

Leaf Lines exists to create moments of stillness in a fast-moving world, where nature is not only seen, but deeply felt.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are the leaves real? Yes. Leaves are picked in summer or fall and only those without defects and with a pleasant shape are used.

  • How are the leaves made? Each leaf is etched by hand, one at a time. The exact method is proprietary. Leaves reduced to just their veins are called "skeletonized." This can happen naturally from insects, larvae, or decay.

  • Can any leaves or flowers be treated? Only certain leaves respond to the process, and it's hard to predict which. Flowers generally cannot be treated because they have few veins; the veins must resist the treatment while the rest is removed.

  • Are the colors real? The acrylic colors are added to match real leaves because natural pigments.

  • How are the leaves preserved? There is no preservative besides the added color. No other treatment is needed for long life.

  • How long will they last? The leaves are perserved life long. Some of these leaves have lasted 30 years with no change, and museum examples of skeletonized leaves exist that are 100–200 years old. Veins are like raw cotton and can last indefinitely if kept dry.
